Right now I feel so tired. My mother was rushed to the hospital Sunday. She wasn't feeling good throughout Saturday night. But she went to church anyway Sunday morning. By the time the service was over and they went down to coffee hour she was light headed and almost fainted. My father was going to bring her to the hospital. He needed to stop for gas. On the way to the gas station my mother started going through her pocket book and pulled out the pharmacy receipts for her medications. She said what are these for, I've never taken these. That really scared my dad, because my mother is always so sharp. So he brought her to the firestation. And they brought her to the hospital. When they first got her to the hospital her blood pressure was high and her heart was jumping all over. They kept her overnight for tests in the morning. It wasn't a heart attack, but a fibrillation of the heart. Basicly the blood wasn't going from the top part of the heart to the bottom like it should. They had her on oxygen until yesterday morning. They put her on meds that thin the blood, to keep it from clotting. And they did have her on high blood pressure meds by intravenous. But they took her off the intravenous yesterday and are trying to control her blood pressure with meds. If they can get it under control she might be able to come home tomorrow. She will have to be on a no salt, no caffine diet. She will have to stay on a blood thinner, they have her on coumadin. And they will have to change her blood pressure meds to keep that down. They were saying she might come home today. But they are having trouble getting the blood pressure to stay down. The last few days if I'm not at the hospital I'm at work. And I'm concerned about my father. This really hard on him. The visiting hours are noon time through 8pm. He goes to the hospital at noon and stays with my mother until 8, them drives home and spends hours calling people to update them on how my mother is. Yesterday while my daughter and her fiancee were with us at the hospital. Her fiancee went down to bought a sandwich and drink and brought it up to my father.

Thanks for the thoughts and prayers for my mother. The doctor said he thought he was going to realize her today, until he looked at the report on her for over night. During the night her heart stopped two times for 3 seconds. They are going to put a pacemaker in tomorrow at 4.

Thought I might insert some good news here: on the old forum, I asked everyone to pray for my high school music teacher. Well...I just found out he is feeling better, and is able to return to the school to teach! Thanks, everyone!

Thanks for everyones prayers for my mother. She had the pacemaker put in and is now home. She has five new meds. Including the blood thinning med so she has to be careful about cuts. And she has a special diet. She has to cut down on the salt, no caffeine, and she has to cut down on vitamin K. She says she can still feel the fibrillation. But the doctor says that the pacemaker will keep that under control. It seems like lately in our family we go from one worry to another. My oldest daughter had to go to have her wisdom teeth taken out yesterday. She has had alot of problems, mainly with the bottom ones. They are impacted at such an angle that they need to be very careful taking them out. One is so close to a nerve if they hit it while taking it out she could lose feeling for awhile. The other is so close to the jaw they could hit that. They put her out and took the top ones out first, since they were ease. But she was having problems breathing so they didn't dare keep her under any longer. They are going to talk to her next week when she comes in to have the stiches out. They think they will have to keep her awake to do the bottom teeth. She woke up in tears. She felt that she had done something wrong. We had to talk to her and make her realize it wasn't her fault.

Or whatever you call it.... Many many times it happend to me and to my Australian friend that we sent sms at the same minute to each other. And another time this spring (autumn there) I had a nightmare just before time to wake up. Something terrible happened to my fingers in my dream. Later we figured it out the dream was at the same time we he seriously hurt his fingers with a saw and needed hospital care, & operation. And we are not tweens....

My thoughts and prayers are with everyone who is going through rough and painful times at the present times... I have candles lite all over the states ..... I special angel gave me a name of a special drug to hopefully increase the anemia...then they still want to do the open heart to cut the muscle back to get the ledt aturim beating so that will also require a pacemaker and defibulator......, so i will try the med that was recommened but then i have to think what to do next.....i wonder if its worth it for my oldest sister has the same problem , but mine is worst then her's and then for my brother to drop over and the cardiolist told me that is what killed him..... thanks for everyone for listening ..... hopefully someone will give me words of wisdom. may god be forever in everyones hearts...
God Bless everyone and their families, maryann

Thank you Sparki for bringing the Prayer Jar here for all who need our prayers and those who just need to know we care.
Those of you who have been here from the very first forum Robin opened to us know that I would be the first to offer special blessings and , hopefully, helped those who were in need of kindness and understanding. I want to always be a positive person who will try and lift those up around me and make them smile. I want to offer a shoulder to cry on. I want to offer words of hope of better times to come. But, most importantly, be the kind of friend that you all have been to me.
During the past year our family went through some trying times. I felt that since I wasn't in any situation to offer help to others when I was feeling so depressed that I needed to be away until I could be the type of person that I wanted to be here.
There is no need to go into the troubled times Pauley and I have had as a family other than to say that God answered our prayers and time has brought our family together again. We celebrated 41 years together in August right after my 10th spinal surger y. At this time I want to thank all of you for you thoughts and most of all your prayers as I couldn't walk before the surgery and now I am almost back to normal.
Now that our lives are on a more even keel I know I can offer help to all of you for your needs or just to be able to chat again. Yes, we have gone through many years together, all of you members of the "naughtly corner" and those of you who are new here. Welcome to you all! This is a great place to be as we celebrate the wonderful man that Robin is and the wonderous sound that the Bee Gees brought to us. To Maurice who we all miss deeply, remember - "Love Never Dies, It Goes On Forever"!
Hugs, Jeannie
