Is it just me or has the forum become incredibly slow lately?
Things that used to happen in seconds take minutes now. :? I just made myself a cup of tea while waiting to be logged in. :roll:

I've found that at times too. I've just thought it was just because I have windup. Oops! I meant dialup! Sometimes it's slower than others. Hopefully it won't happen too oftern or seize up completely! :shock:

I haven't experienced anything and I'm on broadband internet so I would take note if anything did slow down. Is it just with this site that you experience this?

It's just this site, the whole site, not just the forum, while everything else works normally. That's why I thought it might be a problem with the site.

Yes it has been very slow when i try on my computer but on my Mom's computer its okay!

Oh yes this site, sometimes its realy slowly but I always thought it would be due to my hardware :shock: Nevertheless I was always able to post...

For me it's always more or less slow now during some hours in the evening, the rest of the day it seems to be working normally.

I hope we can get Lori back soon, the forum is not the same without her.

It would seem that there should be someone involved in creating and maintaining the website/ forum who could help Lori get back in! It sounds like it hasn't been the first time that she has encountered this problem.

I'm sorry to hear that Lori is having trouble logging in or posting in the forum. For me it seems to run hot and cold. Sometimes I have no trouble and it's fairly quick to post and other times it's nearly impossible to post something so I usually end up just reading the posts even though I may have a response. I have the similar problem on other sites. I'm assuming though it's more of a problem on my end with my older computer.

Hey, it's me for real this time! :lol: :lol: I had Suz log in as me from a different location and it worked, so I guess my issue is just that I'm in the desert again. Multiple computers here would not allow me to stay logged on! :lol:

Since 27 August, I was automatically logged out seconds after logging in, meaning I could never post! Serious withdrawals! :lol: May that never happen again! :lol:

OK :? I've been posting away so it probably seems like I have no forum issues :lol: BUT I DO!!! :shock: The site logs me out pretty much every time I click "submit" and I have to login 4-5 times in a row just to post once! What's going on? :shock: :shock:

Have you allowed RobinGibb.com to store cookies on your computer? If you're blocking all cookies the site won't remember who you are which could be why it keeps kicking you out. You can keep your regular settings but allow this site to store cookies under "Internet options" under "Tools" on your browser.

I haven't changed any settings and I know my cookies are enabled because I've used them on other sites.....since I have this problem on other computers in UAE, I'm wondering if there is a problem with the isp? :?

As to pictures, if you use to host them at Photobucket, you get the [img]...[/img] with the url there, so you just have to copy and paste.

Direct uploading as on the previous forum seems to be not possible here. You have to host your pictures e.g. at Photobucket, then just copy the IMG code you get there and paste it here.

Can someone tell me how to add a comment under the part where Robin has on the res shirt and is introducing his new site... it requires name, email and comment. Do you put your real name or your username and also when i typed the comment and tried to submit it there is no place to clik on under the comment box to submit it so how do you get it to post on the page??? I'm Lost!(And I cant spell and am too lazy to type this over! ) HA!

I got the same problem, when I wanted to add comment. I was asked to type email and username. When I used ID name "cuteRobin" and clicked save, nothing happened, but I used to register another name in Blog and Member and I can comment by using that username. If you have that username, you don't need to type anything,it will show your username automatically. Does my comment help you?

My experience is this ... I wrote two comments on the site, both times I was logged in as a member. The first time, after writing, I clicked 'save' and my comment appeared a moment later under my username. The second time I was told that my comment needed approval. As it had still not shown up when I checked again twenty-four hours later, I assumed it had not passed the test. Your posts here however caused me to have another look a minute ago and I see my comment is there now. Thank goodness ... I had already decided to take it personally.

I guess Im really dense.. Im just not getting this at all.. Im not too good with computers... sigh...

Sorry, I have no idea what to do. All I can say is that when I first tried to log in on the site (not the forum, I had no problem here) after the relaunch, I needed three attempts before it accepted me.
If your friend however does not want to participate regularly, but just wants to send Robin good wishes, she can write a comment on the main site, e.g. in his blog, without registering.

I'm wondering why I can send messages in the forum but now I am trying to go into the memebers section to listen to the audios and it says log in and password and i did it but it wont let me in??? Any suggestions?

I think username/password that you use in order to play in the forum is different from member section. I can tell you that I have three accounts. The first one is for forum, the second one is for member section and the last one is for receiving news. After I have three, I can enter all sites and pages, but how to add comment on that site, you need to wait the answer from others because I don't know either.

So you mean I have to register again with a whole new username to get to the members section?
