HOPE SPRINGS ETERNAL!My Miracle for Robin
I lit the candles and began to pray
Oh God, please go to him tonight,
Reverse his frailty there where he lay
Heal his body and ease his mind.
He’s just a man, Lord, small and weak
And his strength is being drained,
Bless him and give him the power he needs
To render this siege of disease in vain.
End the pain that cripples his life
Strike down the serpent where it lives,
His former good health and vigor revive
For he still has so much to give.
I know many miracles you’re asked to perform
Multitudes on this earth do suffer,
But if you will allow me just this single one
I vow to never ask for another.
Hear my prayer, Oh God, I plead
Be merciful, please do not forsake him,
I’m begging you, Father, on bended knee
Save him and thereby save me – Amen.
I blew out the candles, rose from my knees
And as I left the church felt consoled,
The grip on my heart from burden released
My miracle was about to unfold ...
