I would like to tell you a little about myself; At the age of 11, I discovered the Bee Gees & Mozart. To this day I regard both as my biggest influences. I saw you in concert (my first) at the NEC at your High Civilization Tour. As for Mozart, I saw the film Amadeus in the same year that I discovered yourselves. In 1991 I emigrated to Australia at the age of 13, I lived at first in Thurgoona, then Jindera and finally I then lived in Tumut. I found Australia to be very difficult, and had few friends, though I befriended a deaf boy named Jake, and then decided to learn Australian sign language to communicate with him. Through what was a very difficult time in Australia, I relied upon the music which I loved and the friendship that I encountered and so combined the both. I spent what little time I had in Australia learning to sign to Bee Gee's songs. We returned to England after less than 18 months. It is in no way an underestimation how your music got me through a very difficult time. No words can express the gratitude that I now and will always feel. I have for the last 12 years been writing contemporary classical music whilst living in the beautiful city of Bath. Your music is precious to me, and I cannot thank you enough. I send love, thoughts & prayers to you, your wife, children, family & friends.
