Robin sings backing vocals on this year's Comic Relief single which is a cover of the Bee Gees' Islands In The Stream. He also appears in the video. A CD and DVD single will come out in Britain on March 9. We should have order information and media soon.

Yeah its a bit strange not to mention the fact that the writer of the song, and one of the most successful musicians of all time is on the single....hopefully Robin gets the chance to do his own press.

I've been wondering about this too and found the explanation here. It's said to be a reference to the hometown of various characters from the Gavin & Stacey series.

On the front of the CD cover it says robins name, i hear tom jones on the cd but not Robin??? His voice is so distintive why cant i hear him? did he lend his vocals to the track?

Recently I got message like 'This video is not available in your country' too when I try to view
some videos that worked properly before. I don't think there're screening there for normal
videos, so I think the unavailability of some videos may be just due to copyright terms. Don't know if this is similar cases to yours; just for your information only.

If Islands in the Stream hits number one in the UK the Brothers Gibb will have written a number one in the 60s70s80s90s and 00s and the money goes to charity so I'm buying a few copies!

For those who haven't seen it, there's a making of clip of the video in the members section, with Robin singing a Marvin Gaye style capella of a few lines of Islands In The Stream and To Love Somebody with Rob Brydon.

Barry Island is a town in South Wales which the shorten to Barry There used to be a Butlins Hoiday Camp there that used to hold a big 60s weekend

Anyway they are representin Wales in the World Kareoke Champs in Vegas on the way there the car breaks down but are rescuded by Tom Jones who is from South Wales and hes meant to have had a realationship in the past with Nessa and stole her lyrics to sex bomb
the whole point of the video is its comic and not meant to be taken seriously when the announce it the turn of Nessa and Bryn they actually say from Wales England whic of course it isnt and cant be Wales is Wales and England is England who are also said to be taking part it should be the Uk or GB
