Words Of Wisdom From Rob, As Though He Knew... All Those Years Ago...
What Will Be Happening Toady... About His Illness...

In Wing And A Prayer, originally written in 1969, there are these lines, which in some ways, were prophetic of what he is going though now - a difficult time.
While I was listening to the song again, in the last few days, it's on my 'Robin' compilation CD... I realized just how relevant these beautiful words of Robin's, written so long ago, are. And how prophetic... As If He Knew...
The last line, of the bottom four, in particular, speaks of strength, and the will to fight, it says to me, "I will never leave you, I will always be here, I am not going anywhere, I am staying right here where I am."

The first two lines of the top four, by the way, describe Rob, himself, perfectly. As he is going through this. And the bottom two lines of the same four, describe, so well, his stance about his health, and his strength. They say, simply, "I am strong, I'll get through what I am going through"

I know that You are going through a difficult time now, a rough patch in Your contented and happy life. It is hard for me to describe in words, what I feel right now. If I could, if it were in any way possible, I would take Your illness and any and all pain You may be experiencing, or may experience, as You do Your very best, to rid Yourself of this thing that ails you, into myself. Let me go through all of it in Your stead, while You, healthy and strong, as always, do all the things that bring You, Your Beautiful Family, and countless other people around the world, so much happiness and pleasure. The world needs You, I need You. You Do so many wonderful things, You are a Healer, A Nourisher, An Angel. You bring people together. But I am not a person needed by so many around the world, I am just me. If only I could... Take This From You... Than It is I who woud be going through this, healed, by Your Voice in my ear.

He does know how much we love and cherish him, how precious he is to each and everyone of us. And that as he said, so sweetly is a great tonic to him. We are a great tonic to him.
