Has anything been announced? Does anybody know? Beth, what do you think of all this, the Ball and all? xoxoxo

Taly, the unveiling is on June 28 and the ball is June 30th. If you are able to go have fun. I really wish I could go.

SUMMER BALL
Saturday 30th June 2012

The Heritage Foundation invite you to their Summer Ball.

Dying for a good cause is not necessarily a bad thing, being forgotten is. We therefore are very pleased to announce that the Bomber Command Memorial will be unveiled on 28th June 2012 in Green Park.

We shall be celebrating this occasion and remembering those brave young men of Bomber Command at our Summer Ball on Saturday 30th June 2012.

Our particular thanks got to Robin Gibb CBE, our Annual President who spearheaded our campaign and to all those people out there who so graciously and generously supported it.

Tickets to this event cost £92

To book - please contact our credit card ticket hotline 0208 3429953

More details to follow.

This was the original post with regard to Summer Ball information smile . I let Justine know on her Facebook page, where she also posted this information, that I would certainly like to be there, but cannot be sure.

I am not in a position to make a commitment, and only wishing I could be going to The World Premiere of TTR in April eek . Way to soon for me to know if I can make such an arrangement in June shocked, only hoping. So, this is where I am at on both subjects, Taly, wishing and hoping. Meanwhile, many others are committing smile .

Hi Taly & Everyone:

I am too hopeful to go, but too soon for me to commit for certain yet. I spoke to David, as I said the other day. He told me to call him back in February or March and he could tell us if the dates are confirmed. Due to my job and the need to request time off in advance, I will have to be sure of the dates. But, I am excited that it will work out. xoxo smile

Taly, Hi to you and to everyone, yes I spoke to David the other night and have paid for my ball ticket. I said that there would be a few more ladies ringing him and that we would all like to be seated together, he said no problem just mention that when you ring him. xxxxx smile

It is about a nine hour flight. xoxo I am getting very excited! smile I hope they put you in the cargo hold or strap you to the wing?! LOL!

LOL! Cricket.

Thank God for the good news for The Memorial! That stupid tax would have been atrocious! To be there, I would gladly go strapped to the wings! Stupid politicians, they really don't care, just do things try to make themselves look good and kind and benevolent. But, in this case, thank God they did! xoxo smile

That's awesome Shelly, apparently it's peak time over here i.e. school holidays so I will do whatever I have to to get the best deal. The travel agent said I may have to fly in to Europe and then Eurostar to London. If that's what it takes then that's what I'll do. Fingers crossed, I am going to book tomorrow. xoxo

I would be glad to dance with a 75+ year old man, . They may very well be the best dancers smile , nothing like an old fashioned waltz, I'd say smile .
