Ellen and I took what we think was our last foray onto a small local lake Orbs***!?!

It was a little chilly and we were the only ones there

Kayaks are a pollution free, Native American invention. Very peaceful and relaxing, but we did have to transport them by truck, luckily, the lake, is but a short distance from home .

I could say I feel a bit envy
We're having rainy days 2-3 days not cold, but in the middle of the week cold and rain predicted again.
We had sunny and warm weather on Sunday, we went for a hike, I shot an 'albumful' pictures, but they are not on the net yet. I don't feel very great still. And I have to go work on 1st October, while I can't really go out to the streets alone, just sometimes and not far away.

You cannot go out alone, wildflower ? Are you just starting back to work, then on October lst, and you still do not feel very well? I am happy that you had a hike on Sunday and will look forward to your albumful of pictures !

Our weather has turned rainy and colder too, we just took advantage of, perhaps, the last warm and sunny day (this season ).

Something like that Bethany, but there may be a chance of some heating in the office, and things to concentrate on, otherwise I'll never feel OK, just sitting at home in the cold room, when it's cold and rainy outdoors. My friend will have hard days, as he has to go with me every morning and afternoon, and he doesn't like to get up early in the morning
There were times like this some this some years ago, and it worked, after a time I had bravery to go alone.
Today I went out to the Danube bank and had a short walk alone, but as far as the city is concerned, I don't feel up to it. Cold Septembers are not good for me, heating beings on 15th October, unless majority of people in the building ask for it, but generally they don't, most of living here have not much money, and heating is rather expensive:(

Whole Switzerland is mountains! Well, almost all of it!

Oh, wildflower, I wish you warmth and eventually to go out on your own as before.

I know heating is expensive . We leave our furnace off for as long as we can, burning wood, which has fallen, in the fireplace. Sounds like it may be warmer for you at your work .

Winter is on the way , but not in Brazil where Rafael lives ? Do dress warm, wildflower, and, I guess I did not realize Switzerland is entirely mountainous . This is a very informative topic .

last two days we have rain, and they've said, that it will be rainy till sunday. we have many problems with floods(i don't know if it's right word), i can show you some pictures, taken from the internet. in my town isn't so awful, but in our capital, east and west part of the country, they have got problems with floods.

Unbelievable, Martina, the traffic seems to be going on in all this mess? I can't imagine that we would still have public transport in my country when the passengers are wading more than knee-deep through water.
I should know, but sorry to say I don't ... what is the name of yout capital?

How familiar Avalanche
The photos could have been taken here too, just a bit back in time. Traffic stopped, roads vanished under water, many villages unapproachable, houses demolished, people who still don't have their own house rebuilt.

It has been raining for two days, even in this morning, so we could not go on Danube with boat, now it has cleared up, and I'm left here alone, nowhere to go. Fortunately the Dalai Lama is in Hungary now and I'm wathing HIM online!

yes, i am more in the center of my country. in my part of the town in which i live, we don't have problems with floods, but in the part, where is the river too, i suppose, they have problems with floods.

yes, in our capital traffic goes on also in the mess, hihi. they never stop it...

the name of our capital is Ljubljana, and, no problem, if you ask me, cause you couldn't know it, no way.

my town is not far from Ljubljana, by car it takes circa 15 minutes to go there.
