My backyard with rabbit and other animal tracks! Black bear have been sighted in these parts ! I promise, should I ever capture one on film, I will send it along to all of you ! Although, it may look frozen to some, it is a mere 25% of the snow we usually accumulate. This year it all went south !

We have many fresh water streams in this part of Michigan, feeding into the Great Lakes, former tribal land of the Odawa and Ojibwa Indians.

Here the weather cannot decide whether it wants to become spring or still remain winter for a while.
The first half of last week was sunny and mild, inviting me to a little nostalgic walk after work on Wednesday ...



... then it turned cold again with new snow on Saturday ...



... but the first signs of spring are definately there.

Superb Slideshow , wildflower! The forest floor covered with the lillies (swoon ), the old trees, magnificent , and a very cute pooch at the end !

The blossoms on the forest lillies appear like small angels with wings closed, beautiful!

I have come to realize that Mother Holle = Mother Nature . Both you and she are very good at natural displays !
