Hi Ladies, I finally got my beautiful BeeGees book yesterday. It's got lots of posters and tells the story of the guys right through their journey. I'm loving it!!. The only thing missing is a special signature on it. I'm hoping for an opportunity one day.

It's called Treasures of the BeeGees and it's a hard cover book. It would be great if it was readily available then we could all share it.xx

I just started reading Drood by Dan Simmons which is based on Dickens' involvement in the accident. wink

Thanks, Bethany. I'm much into Dickens currently, still reading Drood, and at Christmas I was presented with an audio drama box, containing Oliver Twist, David Copperfield and Great Expectations. smile
I think it would be an interesting study to find out how much Robin's earlier work was influenced by Dickens. wink

Thanks, Beth;

That is a very interesting article. I noticed it was the anniversary of his birth on Facebook earlier. Thank you, again. xoxo smile

Yes, it would, Gabriele smile . One of my favorites is Bleak House. I have a DVD set with the aforementioned, Our Mutual Friend, Great Expectations, Oliver Twist, Martin Chuzzlewit, and Hard Times. It has been awhile since watching them, maybe in honor of this bicentenary I will review them smile .

Alma, you probably are familiar with A Christmas Carol, and A Tale Of Two Cities?

It is hard to recommend as everyone has her own taste, and I have resorted to film wink. Dickens can be bleak, writing about hard times, if you will. As I said, Bleak House was a favorite of mine. A bleak outlook on the legal profession shocked with captivating characters. Of course, his characters are always noteworthy smile and he was a critic of his times. That's Dickens in nutshell wink smile .

Yes Bethany, I've heard of those books and some other ones. Maybe I should consider reading one.
