Sorry to say ... No. When I was going to take the first picture, I couldn't start my camera ... lens error. Nothing doing!
Guenter lend me his Nikon. So you see the difference!? It does have some advanced possibilities.
But I miss my baby. I use to take it with me everywhere, hope it can be cured.

Oh no! I hope it gets fixed! I do see a difference in the pics....but I thought maybe I just don't know how to use "our baby" LOL! You have to keep it for nostalgia alone LOL

Our Sunday Morning Walk

Gabriele, I missed your Sunday morning walk ! We will have to take one next Sunday .

Ellen is here for the weekend, and very sad she is not coming along for the concert.

Trying to convince her we could go to Santiago in December . Don't think it will happen.

Please, tell Ellen I would have loved to meet her again! Maybe next year ...

At the moment it is nine degrees celsius in Amsterdam which is rather cold for October, although still four degrees more than in Cologne (it seems we are missing autumn this year, going straight into winter ), but sunny. I guess though we will need our umbrellas next weekend.

Okay, Gabriele, Ellen has been informed about next year and greeted !

I will be prepared, it has taken a turn toward the cold here too .

I went to the park early today to catch the autumn colours and the morning light. Click on the picture for a walk with me.

Yet an earlier afternoon walk in the rain

and have coffee with a friend ,

who is also a fan .

... and could not wait to meet you again.



Two years after Tea in Thame we had finally coffee in Amsterdam ... no matter how far less splendid the location was.

Indeed ! Breakfast was good , Gabriele.

(This is us saying "Bee Gees ")

The night before Gabriele's arrival, I was on the 4th floor and I had to climb very narrow steps . The nice proprietor, who loved The Bee Gees , took pity (upon my pleading) and moved us "downstairs," which turned out to be rather nice, don't you think G? Each time I left the building, I could not find my way back without meandering for some time . Becoming quite familiar with the neighborhood, everyone was friendly and could speak more English than I Dutch .

Good thing the name of the Hotelwas familiar to me .

We learned along the boat tour, due to a shortage of housing space in Amsterdam, stairways are very narrow. Furniture is hauled by way of ropes, and a large hook, through large windows on the top stories. We must have a picture? I am sure we will be skipping all around here .

Our location became ideal . Twenty minutes from Too Much Heaven , and five minutes from Van Gogh

Thanks RobinReigns. Way to cool too for you. I also forgot to mentioned that having a Father as a musician I also learned/studied music most of my life including, at one time, being a member of all 5 High School choirs: Concert Choir, Choral Ambassadors, Girls Glee, Activity Choir and Bell Choir which I ended up quitting the bell choir because I always got stuck with the bigger bells and the bruises were unreal on my collar bone where we had to place the bell to stop the ringing of the bells. I did 3 solos and I still sing but it is more like "The Bear Went Over The Mountain" or the alphabet song due to my Daughter who is now 7 going to be 8 on Dec. 1st and my son who is 5 going to be 6 Nov. 20th. Both my kids love to sing and dance especially to that group called The Bee Gees...yes they love their music like their Mum does.

Yes, wildflower, you are wearing a frown , sorry about your unhappiness, glad to know it is not continuous . Is it mostly weather related right now? I know you have returned to work?

Always helps us , and maybe you , for a series of your pictures . Perhaps, you could do a Seasons video (brought forward in Fan Art ) as Gabriele has done, in your own style, of course .
