Aren't the Harry Potter books wonderful? I stopped going to the movies after the 3rd. Just nowhere close to the books! The director's and my imagination are obviously quite different Although I did like the scenery in #3.

Luna Lovegood (Looney Lovegood as they call her lol) mentions them more than once in book and movie 5....I can't tell if she says "Narkel" or "Narfel" or what! :lol: But they are supposedly responsible for little things that go missing and then randomly turn up later in odd places..... :? :lol:

Only two more to go! Such wonderful books. They are on my list of all time favorites. I read the first 3 books 4 times. Now that I know the ultimate ending, I can go back and re-read the last 4

While the Narkels/Narfels mystery yet remains to be solved I'd like to tell you that I recently discovered another Kate Ivory mystery in the annual May pocket books bargain sales of my favourite bookshop. After Oxford Mourning and Oxford Blue I am now the happy owner of Oxford Shadows.

Up to now I have got only the German versions of her books. I must by all means think of looking for an original edition next time we will be in UK. Maybe in London in mid 2011? ...
